Fresh - Nutrient Rich - Harvested Weekly

Homer-Micro-Farm-logo

At Homer Micro Farm, we grow a variety of fresh, nutrient-dense microgreens year-round right here in Homer, Alaska. Packed with vitamins, minerals, and flavor, our greens are a simple way to support a healthier lifestyle—even during the long winter months when fresh produce can be hard to find.

We are committed to using organic inputs whenever possible and prioritize growing practices that reduce waste and environmental impact. Our mission is rooted in community—providing reliable access to clean, healthy food while supporting local food security across Homer and surrounding areas.

Microgreens may be small, but they are packed with powerful nutrition. These young greens are harvested at an early stage, when their nutrient levels are often at their peak. Studies have shown that many microgreens can contain higher concentrations of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants than their fully grown counterparts.

They are rich in essential nutrients like vitamins A, C, E, and K, along with important minerals such as potassium, iron, zinc, and magnesium. These nutrients support immune health, help reduce inflammation, and contribute to overall wellness. Antioxidants found in microgreens can also help protect the body from cell damage and support long-term health.

In addition to their nutritional value, microgreens are easy to add to everyday meals. Their fresh flavor and vibrant colors make them a simple way to boost both the taste and health benefits of salads, sandwiches, smoothies, and more.

Adding microgreens to your diet is a small change that can make a big impact—providing clean, fresh, and nutrient-dense food to support a healthier lifestyle year-round.

It’s important to remember that the health benefits of microgreens can differ based on the variety and your individual dietary needs. Eating a diverse mix of microgreens can help support a more balanced intake of essential nutrients and offer added health benefits. That said, they’re best used to complement a well-rounded diet—not replace one.
